Welcome to the Louisiana International Film Festival
Our first inaugural film festival was held from April 18th - 21st, 2013 and was a huge success! We featured over 50 films, many of which were Louisiana-premieres, and hosted over ten workshops. Thanks to all of our sponsors and those who came out to enjoy the festival.

The Louisiana Film Society, a year-long screening series by the Louisiana International Film Festival, is honored to host a pre-release screening for the critically acclaimed film, The Book Thief by Director Brian Percival (Downton Abbey) and based on the best selling novel with the same name. The film stars Emily Watson, Geoffrey Rush, Sophie Nélisse, Ben Schnetzer, Nico Liersch, and Joachim Paul Assböck. It is distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, the studio that brought you "Life of Pi".
The screening will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at Cinemark Perkins Rowe, with seating admission to open at 7 p.m. and the film to start at 7:30 p.m.Read More
